Aframsouth supports and works with E.C.H.O. (Empowering Communities Helping Ourselves) in Montgomery, AL. ECHO is a youth program which provides enrichment activities for young people in Montgomery. It has a Summer Enrichment Program and meets on a monthly basis with mentoring and enrichment activities.

Aframsouth Executive Director, Bill Foster and Board member, Michael Jackson has worked with ECHO’s male mentoring program titled Young Lions which is designed to utilize the Young Lions African American male mentoring curriculum. Mr. Foster and Mr. Jackson also serve on the ECHO Board of Directors.

The Theartice Gentry Memorial Scholarship Fund

Aframsouth is a partner and supporter of the Theartice Gentry Memorial Scholarship Fund at Tuskegee University. The fund annually provides book assistance to deserving social work majors enrolled in the Department of Social Work of Tuskegee University. Bill Foster serves as Vice President of the fund and Mrs. Hattie Gentry is the President.
