WUMO LP FM 94.5 in Montgomery, Alabama is a community radio station dedicated to serve the Montgomery Community. As a local low power station we seek to provide listeners with local, national, and international news health education, and music with a gospel jazz and message music entertainment. This station is an affiliate of the Pacifica Radio Network.

A Woman’s Worth
“A Women’s Worth” Wellness Radio Program is designed to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS among African American women 40 and older. The program provides prevention education strategies, emphasize the importance of HIV screenings, and provide linkage to care resources for those infected with HIV. In addition, the program will feature discussions with HIV experts raising awareness about the importance of education, screenings and treatment. Also, listeners will receive keynote presentations from behavioral scientists and health providers about their individual risks for HIV and how HIV impacts the lives of women locally and nationally.

Co-hosts include Alabama public health advocates Dr. Pamela Payne Foster and Reashanda White. This program is supported by a grant from the “Ending the HIV Epidemic Program” of the Alabama Department of Public Health.
